Bios

Dr. Christine Hyde

Christine Hyde is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist/Diplomate of Sex Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey.

Dr. Hyde received a B.S. in Psychology from Fordham University, earned the degree of Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and received her Ph.D. in Sexology from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco . Dr. Hyde attended postgraduate Human Sexuality Institute Training at the Fogel Foundation in Washington, DC, as well as advanced training in Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment. She received her Certification as a Sex Therapist from the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists, which also conferred the title “Diplomate of Sex Therapy.”

Christine Hyde has ongoing involvement in a variety of continuing education programs directed at assisting other clinicians in assessing and addressing the sexuality issues of their clients. She has been a participant, lecturer, and group facilitator for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Human Sexuality Program for the past fifteen years and a member of the Curriculum Committee of that program for the last eleven years. Dr. Hyde lectures nationally on a wide variety of sexual topics and is an advocate for happy and healthy sexuality.

Dr. Frank J. Matone

Frank J. Matone is a psychotherapist and professor of sociology with an extensive background in individual, group and family treatment. Dr. Matone received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey campus. He holds a Masters in Social Work from New York University as well as  Doctor of Human Sexuality and  Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology from The Institute of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Matone was a staff clinician at Family Guidance in Hackensack, New Jersey before he was offered a position at Barnert Community Health Center. He was soon promoted to Director of the Juvenile Sexual Behavior Program which he restructured and reorganized in order to better meet the needs of the community.  Dr. Matone was awarded a grant by the Juvenile Justice Commision of New Jersey to provide the much needed services of the innovative program he developed in a new and more expansive environment at  his Paterson office. After several years of working closely with the Passaic County Family Court and realizing an extremely high success rate, Dr. Matone moved his practice to Fort Lee in Bergen County, New Jersey. Here he began collaboration with Dr. Hyde in order to expand treatment opportunities to a wider range and more diverse group of individuals.

Dr. Matone's specialties include sexual dysfunction, impulsive and compulsive sexual behaviors, relational issues, evaluation and treatment for sexual offense behaviors, therapeutic treatment to trauma and incest survivors. He has been called upon to lecture  on these and other related topics in a variety of venues.
